A new makers' market!

Hi,

This is a new blog for the Daylesford Makers' Market, a one-day gathering of crafters, artists and designers based in and around Daylesford and Hepburn Springs in country Victoria, Australia.

For some time now we've been talking amongst ourselves about finding a way to promote ourselves locally, and to the many tourists who visit our lovely region.

And now we're doing it - our Makers' Market will take place on Sunday 30 November 2008, next to the Sunday Market on Raglan Street, from 9am-1pm.

Daylesford is home to many independent craft and design companies and this is a great opportunity to see them all together!

Come along and meet us, and find gorgeous Christmas gifts, all designed locally. From knitted toys to stunning ceramics, hand-made children's clothes, artworks, recycled gifts, cute homewares and many more great things that you wont find anywhere else. But sorry, there'll be no tye-die t-shirts or frilly lavender sachets!

If you are coming from out of town, Daylesford is an amazing place for a day trip or weekend break - visit here for all the info!

We'll be posting more information on the stalls and products over the next few weeks, so please pop back. If you have any queries please send us an email at daylesfordmakers market @ gmail.com

Thanks, hope to see you on 30 November!

Kate and Allison xx

PS We're really pleased to be running the market in association with Santa's Little Helpers. This great gang of Hepburn residents raise money every year to provide extra Christmas presents for children whose families might be finding it difficult to make ends meet.
